Paramour

The phrase ” a Cirque du Soleil musical” says it all. This show at the Lyric theatre in New York was a wonderful combination of old style musical, amazing circus performances and video displays all wrapped up in a tribute to the Hollywood musicals of the golden age of cinema. The plot was a bit feeble – the usual love triangle – but it really did not matter since the important part of the show was the spectacle. And this was delivered all the way. Apparently the critics did not like the show, but the audience, including me, loved it.
