Macbeth

Dress rehearsal was great. Keith now feels that Stratford no longer owes him a Macbeth.

Actually, the Macbeth debt was paid by the Feore version. I might not have felt there was the necessary passion between the Macbeth’s, but it was a good version nevertheless (and Rooney’s Porter was great).

Anyway, the new version will be good too. Unlike the SW Shakespeare version, no one will feel that Ian Lake is too wimpy to be the warrior to be Macbeth! And Krystin Pellerin is a very believable Lady M.

As usual, a very clear and understandable production from Antoni Cimolino, with more focus on the mystical. The acting was all pretty much there, just a bit of technical smoothing before opening.
