The Twelve Pound Look

J M Barrie wrote this short play about the roles of men and women in marriage. It reminds me of The Age of Arousal by Linda Griffiths that will be playing in Toronto this winter, but shorter and more concentrated message.

Patrick Galligan was perfect as Sir Harry Sims, and was matched beautifully by Moya O’Connell and Kate Besworth as the first and second wives. Neil Barclay was fun as Tombes the butler, and Harveen Sandhu Scuttled in and out nicely as the maid.

I love these short lunch time plays!

Like watching a good short story – everything unnecessary stripped away and everything that’s left is there to make a point.
