Three we missed reviewing

It has been a tough year. Memory is poor as a result of drug brain.
Keith went to see Bakelite Masterpiece which he thought was an interesting exploration of the line between reality and the fake and their importance to people. Great performances by Geordie Johnson and Irene Poole.

We saw Steel Magnolias performed by a solid cast of women from New Hamburg. Comic timing was a bit off, (too slow) but the group were otherwise good.

And we forgot to mention a not live to us, but a broadcast performance by the Globe Theatre company of Twelfth Night. An all male cast directed by TimCaroll did a wonderful job. One of the funniest versions of this play we have seen.
Mark Rylance as Olivia, Stephen Fry as Malvolio and Paul Chahidi as Maria were all memorable.

  1. Keith Potter says:

Cathy was rather kind to Steel Magnolias. If you don’t get the timing right, it just doesn’t work. It shows the difference between amateurs and professionals.
