The Sea

I can understand why the Shaw Festival decided that this pay fit the mandate. It has a collection of strange characters, doing very odd things, discussing the meaning of life. Positively Shavian.

I do not understand why anyone would want to see the play. It was so boring that we left at the intermission. Edward Bond would be a name to avoid based on this play.

One Response to The Sea

    Well, this sucked.

It is kind of a relief after having nice things to say about everything else at the Shaw this year (that we saw, we missed a couple) to have something I really hated.

Bond’s play (or at least the first half, as we, thankfully, left at intermission) seemed really week and, perhaps in response, the actors went over the top in scenery chewing.

I think if I am going to watch Bond it will be James Bond.
