Enchanted April

Enchanting! Every woman who lives in a cold, wet climate has a fantasy about escaping to a warm romantic place. This play allows us to watch four women fulfill their fantasies. Moya O’Connell, Tara Rosling, Donna Belleville and Marla McLean were all delightful to watch. The irrepressible Lotty gave O’Connell every opportunity to charm, while Tara Rosling was the intense and worried Rose Arnott who worried enough for all of them. Donna Belleville was the perfect autocratic Mrs Graves – the self centred and selfish woman who mellows in the warm sunshine. Marla McLean was the aristocrat who years for love and meaning in her life.

The play is iight and entertaining, although you can think abut what it has to say about the relations between men and women if you want. I preferred to sit back and just enjoy the sets, the costumes and the actors.

    A Chick Flick on stage!
Pretty and pleasant, but why bother?
