You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown

A very good production, with a very good cast, of a very weak play. Keith worried that Aiden (5) would not get the story because he did not know the characters. This was not a problem at all. The play works as a group of kids and a dog singing and dancing. There is no plot, so no need to worry about following it.

Aiden enjoyed it, and liked Charlie Brown (Kevin James Stewart) the best. I liked Snoopy (Stephen Patterson) best. Somehow, this could have been predicted. Linus ( Kevin Yee) also deserves a mention.

Asked for a preference between Charlie Brown and Pirates, he declared that he liked them both.

It was fun to see, but does not stand the test of time, if it ever did stand up as a solid piece of theatre. Many people wondered why the Festival was presenting this play. I’m still wondering.
